About NIE Torrevieja

NIE Torrevieja is an independent private service for foreigners in Torrevieja and the towns around it. NIE, green certificate, TIE card, padrón: we prepare them with you, calmly and in plain English.

Torrevieja brings together people at every stage of life: retirees who came for the light and the sea, families who moved for work, owners who open their flat a few times a year, buyers signing for their first Spanish home. Whatever brought them, the same handful of Spanish procedures is waiting, written in another language and built on another logic.

Our part is preparation. We work out which procedure and which office fit, fill in the forms with you, help with the 790-012 fee, look for a cita previa and check the folder before the day. Tax, inheritance and property law belong to other professionals; when your question is one of theirs, we tell you so, and which kind of adviser to look for.

No link ties us to the police, to the State’s Subdelegación in Alicante or to the Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja, and nothing on these pages is an official document. Every procedure here is one you are free to handle on your own with the administration; in that case the official fees are the only cost.

What you can expect

• Answers for your passport, not everyone’s. Torrevieja is a town of many passports. A Swede, a Briton and a Venezuelan each face a different form, and sometimes a different office, so we answer for yours alone.
• Calm, plain English. Short sentences, one step at a time, and every Spanish word explained the first time it appears. Read at your own pace; nothing here is urgent unless your dates are.
• The office question, settled early. Here the right office is not always the nearest one. We read what policia.es lists for each station and tell you what to expect before you book, not after.
• Private, and open about it. We are an independent private service. Decisions belong to the police, the Subdelegación and the Ayuntamiento; our job is your preparation. If your question is really one for a lawyer or a tax adviser, you will hear that from us plainly.

What this service is not

NIE Torrevieja is a private service, independent of every public body. Neither the Policía Nacional nor the Subdelegación del Gobierno in Alicante, its Oficina de Extranjería or the Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja runs, funds or endorses it, and none of their decisions or calendars is ours to influence.
